Overview
This is the private version of our Akihabara walk. No other guests join
you: the guide belongs to your group for three hours, which changes what
the tour can be. Stop longer in the shop your daughter won't leave, skip
the arcade entirely, spend an hour hunting one specific card — the plan
bends around you.
Because it's a charter, the price is per group rather than per person:
¥60,000 whether one person comes or four. Families of five
or six are welcome too — the price changes for larger groups, so ask us
and we'll send a figure with your dates.
Travelling solo or happy to share the walk? The
Akihabara Open Walk is
¥15,000 per person and runs the same neighbourhood.

Typical itinerary
Every private tour is different — here's the general shape of a 3-hour walk:
0:00 — Meet & plan
Meet at Akihabara Station
Quick 5-min chat to confirm your group's interests and finalize the route. If you sent a wishlist, we've already scouted locations.
0:10 — Flagship floors
Big-name stores done right
Mandarake, Kotobukiya, Animate, Surugaya — but we'll show you which floor matters for what you want, not just the front entrance.
0:50 — Backstreets
Hidden shops & specialty stores
The real gems are on the 3rd or 5th floor of buildings you'd walk right past. Rare finds, doujinshi stores, niche figure specialists.
1:40 — Arcade break
Crane games & rhythm games
Pick an arcade — we'll show you the secret UFO catcher spots with actually winnable setups, or head for the rhythm-game floors. Skip it if the group would rather keep shopping.
2:20 — Café stop
Maid café, themed café, or coffee break
Optional. If you want the maid café experience, we'll guide you through the etiquette. Not your thing? We know quiet specialty cafés too.
3:00 — Wrap-up
Q&A and farewell
Post-tour recommendations for what to do on your own, where to eat nearby, and how to get back. Your souvenir and photo data follow by email.
Moments from past tours
Good to know
Q.Is it really ¥60,000 for one person?
Yes. You're booking the guide's three hours, not a seat, so the price is the same for one guest or four. If you're travelling alone and the cost doesn't make sense, the open-join walking tour is ¥15,000 per person.
Q.We're a family of five or six. Can we still book?
Yes — larger families are welcome, and the price changes for groups above four. Tell us how many of you are coming and we'll send the figure before you commit.
Q.Is it suitable for kids?
This is the tour we recommend for families. Private means we can set the pace around children, choose kid-friendly shops and arcades, and stop whenever anyone needs a break.
Q.Can I send a wishlist in advance?
Yes — this is how we get the best results. Send a list of series, characters, or specific items you're hunting, and we'll scout the stores before you arrive.
Q.What if it rains?
Most of Akihabara is indoors or covered. Light rain doesn't stop us — Tokyo is a rain-or-shine city. For heavy weather, we can reschedule.
Q.How do I pay?
We send payment instructions after confirming your date. Usually bank transfer, PayPal, or cash on the day — your choice.
